The Rutgers University Police are pleased to offer the STOP (Security Tracking of Office Property) program for all students, faculty and staff members on the New Brunswick and Piscataway campuses.
The S.T.O.P. system offers asset protection tracking, management and recovery of removable office equipment like PC's, laptops, printers, monitors, etc…
How it works: |

The unique security plate is made of a tough photo-anodized aluminum. |
|
|
It's affixed with cyanoacrylate adhesive so strong that removal of the plate physically alters the surface of the equipment's case. |
|
|
The security plate bears a clear warning that the property is monitored and traceable by the police. |
|
|
An identifiable tattoo is chemically and indelibly etched into the protected laptop's case declaring the property is stolen. |
|
|
The STOP Security Plate includes lifetime services and support, with no annual renewal or additional fees.
STOP plates are available at a cost of $15 each. To purchase a STOP plate, click on the following link and complete the brief registration form. Come to the Rutgers Public Safety Building located at 55 Commercial Ave between the hours of 8:30am -4:30pm M-F.
