The Rutgers Police Investigations Unit offers fingerprinting services and background checks to all faculty, students, and staff to complete employment requirements for the Department of Education, Homeland Security, security firms, child care providers, and bus drivers. |

Fingerprinting is available to individuals applying for Canadian citizenship, but NOT available to individuals applying for United States citizenship. For more information about obtaining your US Citizenship please visit http://www.uscitizenship.info/. |

Fingerprinting is available Monday – Friday, 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM. First, confirm the availability of an officer to take the fingerprints. |

Most individuals are given fingerprint cards from the organization they are working with. Obtain further instructions from the Police Investigations Unit if you do not have fingerprint cards. |
• |
The university police will assist departments requiring new employee background checks. The proper Criminal History Record Application and fingerprint cards must be obtained by the requesting department to complete this process. |
