The following is a brief synopsis of information reported to the Rutgers University Police Department:

The UMDNJ Police Department is currently investigating a strong arm robbery which occurred near the C-Town Market on George Street in New Brunswick. The incident took place on Monday October 01, 2007 at approximately 9:40 PM.

The victim reported that three individuals approached her as she was walking down the sidewalk toward Rockoff Hall. One of the individuals jumped on her back and attempted to take the backpack she was carrying. The victim refused to relinquish her backpack and the three individuals ran down Morris Street toward Neilson Street. The victim’s keys and student ID were taken. The victim was not physically injured. The victim then flagged down a UMDNJ police officer who assisted her.

DESCRIPTION OF SUSPECT:

All three were young black males ages 13-15
Approximately 5 feet tall

First suspect: white shirt and a dark colored do-rag
Second suspect: gray shorts, white socks and Adidas flip flops Third suspect: dark colored t-shirt, blue jeans and a dark colored baseball cap
